Recruiting of Skilled Professionals at E-world 2024: Career Day with a new Concept

Qualified professionals are crucial for the successful implementation of the energy and heat transition. As the leading trade fair for the energy industry, E-world's Career Forum has been a sought-after platform for young professionals, students and school pupils to come together with companies since 2005. "We are making this recruiting event even more attractive in 2024 and expanding it into a comprehensive Career Day," reveals Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E-world GmbH. "In doing so, we are responding to a key need in the industry, which urgently needs young talent and specialists to meet the challenges of the energy transition. At Career Day on February 22, 2024, companies will have the ideal opportunity to specifically address job seekers and provide information about career paths."

Her Managing Director colleague Sabine Großkreuz presents some of the new features: "All participants can look forward to an extensive live program with exciting discussion rounds, informative presentations, live podcast recordings and the premiere of the 'CEO meets Student' format. We are also establishing an additional valuable point of contact with the challenges. " Career Day 2024 will not only be expanded in terms of content, but also in terms of space: special areas will be available on two stages on the third day of the fair for visitors and companies to introduce themselves and make contact.

Unique opportunity: students meet CEOs

At the forums, speakers from the field will offer insights into the multifaceted world of work and career opportunities in the energy industry. The "CEO meets Student" format is new: students can take to the stage themselves and discuss a current topic with a personality from top management in the energy sector.

Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular - also in the energy sector. Anyone who has always wanted to look over the shoulder of a podcaster will also have the opportunity to do so on Career Day. EnPower, Entschieden Nachhaltig and Redispatch, among others, will be recording their talks on current events in the energy industry on the forum stages.

Companies can make contact with potential employees

The Career Day is the perfect opportunity for companies to target young talents and arouse their interest in a career in the energy sector. In presentations, at their own exhibition space or on the special areas at the expert forums in halls 4 and 5, there will be opportunities for personal exchange. Exhibitors can position themselves as attractive employers to students, high school pupils and young professionals with practical experience reports, insights into everyday company life and valuable tips for starting a career.

The challenges are a new feature of Career Day at E-world 2024. Small tasks are used to simulate typical activities in various professional fields in a fun way. This allows young professionals to test their skills and compare them with the requirements of the companies. They receive direct feedback on which personal strengths they can use for the energy transition and which fields of activity are particularly suitable for them. Exhibitors have the opportunity to approach suitable participants and seek a conversation.
