In this role you will help us to grow our market share through systematic lead generation and proactive sales closing, you will work together with highly motivated, competent sales, marketing and product colleagues as well as other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver customer value. Your focus will be on selling Volue Insight`s market data services like price forecasts and fundamentals as subscriptions in Europe.

We are now looking for a Product Owner who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.

This role will be responsible to boost our offering for algorithmic trading in the European electricity market. Our SaaS products for electricity trading facilitate the intelligent automation of power trading. The high-performant real-time system connects to power exchanges, and uses smart and highly parametrizable built-in algorithms to trade on these exchanges. Our products are delivered to the major players in the European energy industry.

You will be in the driver seat to transform our vision to reality by developing a solution for a greener and better tomorrow.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

  • As Product Owner you create, maintain and prioritize a product’s development backlog and ensure a clear line of sight from low-level technical items (e.g., “tasks”) to high-level business objectives (e.g., “epics”)
  • You Create transparency around the development status and potential roadblocks at all times for predictability and plannability across various stakeholders and functions
  • You find the balance between quality, time-to-market, scope and security and communicate it transparently to relevant stakeholders
  • You act as the focal point of communication between the PM and the development team
  • You facilitate customer feedback within the frame agreed with the PM
  • You will continuously support the development team with domain expertise and resharpen their focus on the intended outcomes, thereby enabling effective delivery of the agreed scope
  • You will challenge and sanity-check for feasibility of high-level backlog items, highlight limitations in the technology and the team’s ability to deliver, and raise awareness of security vulnerabilities and technical debt

What you need to succeed:

You have:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in a technical or commercial field of studies is preferred but not a must
  • 1 – 2 years experience working as a Product Owner
  • Good understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery and agile methodologies in general
  • Good communication skills in both the technical and commercial realms
  • Hands-on attitude to get deliveries over the finish line
  • Willingness to assume ownership of a product and proactively remove any obstacles on the path to its successful delivery
  • Good domain knowledge about the gas trading market is a plus but not a must

The position reports to the Head of Product trading and cooperates closely with the product and development team. We are looking to hire for Volue office in Munich but will be ready to consider other locations for the right candidate.
