The Alpha-Omega Technology GmbH & Co. KG is an expert for IoT infrastructures and operates iot-shop.de, the largest online shop for LPWAN products in German-speaking countries. Since this year, the company has also been offering products for the Helium network under Helium-Shop.eu. Visitors can expect a large selection of products and demo set-ups at the 60-square-metre joint stand. "We will be showing classic hardware as well as sensors for special areas of application and various demo set-ups, covering the entire sensor gateway installation chain together with our partners," says Jan Bose, Managing Director of Alpha-Omega Technology. CO2 sensors and modules with interfaces from RS232 to LoRaWAN will be on display. But also special sensors like an all-in-one LoRaWAN weather station, a controller with timer for smart street lighting and an industrial PC with a fully integrated IoT edge platform. The latest trends include multi-sensors with direct display on an e-ink display and helium hotspots.
Highlights include a PC equipped with the Bitmotecosystem IoT edge platform with Node-RED, MQTT, OPC-UA, MTConnect and Modbus for Industry 4.0 requirements. The Barani Design MeteoHelix IoT Pro wireless all-in-one weather station collects local weather data with accuracy that meets World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) standards. Also on display will be the Clever City GreenBox Compact 3 timer. Due to the increasing use of smart meters, the applications of ripple control (TRA), which is often used to control street lighting, are declining. The GreenBox offers itself as a cost-effective alternative solution.
Sensors from Comtac
IoT system supplier Comtac AG will show sensors such as the Cluey Controller KM, a configurable controller and monitor for monitoring and control tasks in power, water or other infrastructure networks. Also on display is the KLAX readout device for electricity and gas. The sensor is a communication module with an opto head that is placed directly on the meter with the integrated magnet. KLAX came onto the market at the beginning of 2019 as the first sensor that can continuously record values via the optical interfaces of modern measuring devices and transmit them via LoRaWAN. Alpha-Omega Technology developed and manufactured the module together with Comtac and ZENNER IoT Solutions.
Gateways from Kerlink
IoT network infrastructure solutions specialist Kerlink SA will be showing its iStation outdoor gateway, among other products. The gateway comes with 4G connectivity and has integrated internal antennas for GPS, 4G and LoRaWAN. The device can be used in areas such as smart city, smart industry, smart metering or smart agriculture. At the joint stand, the company will also present the gateway management system Wanesy. With its help, extensive networks with many gateways can be managed efficiently.
Installation of SmartInfra
SmartInfra offers an open system with turnkey end-to-end solutions on the way to the smart city. At the community stand, the company will show how municipal infrastructures can be networked, digitally controlled and mapped in an integrated system with new radio technologies such as LoRaWAN or NB-IoT and "plug and play" applications.
Expert presentations: "Basics for Smart City Applications".
Jan Bose, Managing Director of Alpha-Omega Technology, will explain how small municipalities in particular can benefit from smart solutions with LPWAN technologies at the Infrastructure Forum at E-World in the "Fundamentals for Smart City Applications" section. Participation is free of charge for trade fair visitors.
