On each of the three days of the trade fair, four open expert forums will focus on different focal points of the industry. In addition, the traditionally particularly popular events "Energy Leadership Meeting" and "Fibre Optic Forum" will again take place.
The E-world forum program is unique. In order to offer the trade visitors the greatest possible added value, the lectures and discussions are freely accessible, take place directly in the exhibition halls and are interpreted. The New Energy Systems Forum (Hall 1) will focus on the expansion and integration of renewable energies in Germany and Europe as well as the energy market of the future.

Leadership meeting and fibre optics forum
The Energy Leadership Meeting is a popular meeting place for decision-makers in the industry. The event traditionally takes place on the day before the trade show. On May 22, the motto was "Perspectives for the energy world of tomorrow". Focus topics included "Energy policy in the face of the crisis" and "Strategic positioning for the markets of the future". The leadership meeting was moderated by Michael Bauchmüller from the parliamentary editorial department of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and organized in cooperation with Süddeutsche Verlag events.
The Fibre Optic Forum on May 24 will provide information on the intelligent dovetailing of self-supported and subsidized fibre optic expansion. For this to succeed, there needs to be trusting cooperation between network operators, public administration and politics. The acceleration of approval processes, clear definitions of expansion targets, targeted use of subsidies and the establishment of strategic partnerships will be important success factors for nationwide fibre optic expansion in Germany. Municipal utilities often find themselves caught between the interests of network operators, administration and politics and are looking for their role in the fibre market. The Fibre Optic Forum 2023 would like to give the various players a stage to develop joint approaches to solutions. Program partners are the Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. (BREKO), Micus Strategieberatung and con|energy.
