E-world energy & water: New products in the exhibition halls

Essen, April 29, 2022

Premiere of the hydrogen community booth and the digital Prototype Club

The preparations for Europe’s leading energy industry trade fair are well under way. The E-world energy & water, which will be taking place from June 21 to 23 at Messe Essen, is extremely popular with industry players.  So far, around 640 exhibitors have signed up, with just a few spaces still available. This year, the trade fair will feature numerous new innovations, and will be held in summer for the very first time. It will be accompanied by innovative program items designed to provide specialist visitors and exhibitors with additional informative value. Two new features of this year’s trade fair will be the “Hydrogen Solutions” community booth for all things related to hydrogen, and the digital Prototype Club. Both of these new additions focus on topics of the future.

“At E-world, the issue of energy supply is approached from completely new perspectives. Experts, scientists and major economic players have been using this event to successfully develop and discuss strategies and actions for over 20 years. In line with the theme of ‘Solutions for a sustainable future’, we’ll be seeing important new impetus in politics and economics this year too”, says Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E-world GmbH. Her management colleague Sabina Großkreuz adds: “Sustainable technologies and intelligent energy systems are particularly important in shaping the future of European energy supply. That’s why we’re so pleased about the two new formats, the hydrogen community booth and the Prototype Club”.

Hydrogen community booth as contact point

Hydrogen is a central pillar of the energy revolution. The element is extremely relevant to the sector, with a constant increase in both demand and use. With this year’s hydrogen community booth, or “Hydrogen Solutions”, E-world is for the very first time offering companies and interested specialist visitors the chance to find out more information about this important energy source and the associated variety of projects and to exchange ideas with other relevant parties at a central point within the exhibition site.

Prototype Club provides practice-oriented digitalization solutions

The members of the new Prototype Club are developing practice-oriented solutions for complex digitalization challenges in the energy industry. As part of this professional programming network, they are already working on tasks in the fields of heating market transformation, hydrogen infrastructure or intelligent charging infrastructures in the run-up to E-world. The findings will be presented during the trade fair, with prize money totaling EUR 10,000 up for grabs for the best proposals. The winning teams may also receive a follow-up commission from the company so that they can make their prototypes a reality.

Career Forum with a hybrid format for the first time

E-world has also updated the existing format of the Career Forum. This popular event will have a hybrid format for the first time, and will begin before the start of the trade fair. From May 1, students and young professionals will be able to get in touch with participating companies digitally. The usual event will be held at the trade fair site on the last day of the fair, with speeches, podium discussions and numerous networking opportunities, and visitors will be able to strengthen and develop the contacts made beforehand via the digital channels.

Tckets for E-world and its events can be purchased via the official ticket store. Information on the exhibitors and program items of the trade fair can be found in the E-world Community.
