Our forecasting experts will release the 2025 edition of our 2050 Global Energy and Climate scenarios next month.
The analysis has been realised with:
- New projections (for all EnerFuture data) including the most recent developments:
- Energy and climate policy developments, including up-to-date NDCs.
- Trends in electrification, with new series relative to development of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Heat Pumps.
- Addition of detailed results for new technologies: carbon removals, hydrogen and derivatives.
- Integration of up-to-date historical data up to 2023.
Our POLES-Enerdata model is a world energy-economy partial equilibrium simulation model of the energy sector until 2050, with complete modelling from upstream production to final user demand and greenhouse gas emissions.
Besides the introduction and key takeaways, the Global Energy Scenarios publication details the three Enerdata scenarios including: Enerbase (+3°C), EnerBlue (between 2.0°C and 2.5°C) and EnerGreen (<+2°C), with a specific conclusion for each one.
