In the energy-saving meters pilot program, the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is funding innovative energy services for metering and making savings in grid-based energy sources. What is new: part of the funding is paid out as a function of proven savings which the recipient of the funding measures in respect of his end customers with high temporal resolution, using accepted methods adjusted for influencing factors, and reported to the approval authority (BAFA) annually. The more three dozen applications already received demonstrate the high level of interest in the market in attractive subsidy rates of up to 50% and maximum funding of one million Euros. Between 9.50 a.m. and 11 a.m. on 6 February, 14 companies will present their business models for energy-saving meters for various end customers, from households through trade and commerce to industrial applications at E-world’s Energy Transition Forum. The event is sponsored by Smartnet Energy, the network formed by recipients of contributions in the energy-saving meters pilot program.
