MCA (Meter to Cloud Adapter) is a communication device for digital energy meters. It connects the meter with a cloud and gives access to consumption data in a user-friendly way. As an important member of its MCA-family, IK Elektronik presents the MCA-WLAN.
MCA-WLAN is mountable on any electricity meter with a standardized, optical interface. The installation is extremely simple. Due to its integrated magnet, MCA-WLAN will stick at any optical interface. Meter data will be collected and transmitted every second. This data is available for users as a value-add service such as visualization of consumption via smartphone app, analysis of putting power gluttons or the control of devices via smart home systems.
In houses and apartments MCA-WLAN can be used to optimize the energy consumption, which is a point of growing importance, facing the dramatic increased energy costs. Even municipal utilities or meter operators get the chance to intensify their customer loyalty.
