Visitors can expect a wide range of hardware with IoT technologies such as LoRaWAN, NB-IoT and wireless M-Bus at the stand of Alpha-Omega Technology, Lobaro, Watteco and Tektelic in the "Smart Energy" exhibition area. Demo setups for IoT solutions will also be on display. The highlights: The Plug&Play entry-level packages of the IoT solution „Ortsbeleuchtung“ by Alpha-Omega Technology enable municipalities to intelligently monitor and control street lighting. The Solar HUB from Siarq is a smart, solar-powered street lantern. It is equipped with environmental sensors and offers environmental data as a service. The Solar HUB measures all relevant data to determine the Air Quality Index.
Flexible IoT solution „Ortsbeleuchtung“
The new „Ortsbeleuchtung“ product makes it easier for municipalities to enter the digitalisation of street lighting. The IoT solution replaces the previous ripple control technology: Instead, the GreenBox Compact 3 from CleverCity and an IoT based on LoRaWAN are used. The lighting can be controlled digitally via a visualised dashboard. The special feature of the product is its flexibility: the starter packages for the conversion include three, five or ten configured GreenBoxes as required, as well as everything else for operation.
Lobaro: Wireless M-Bus Gateways
Lobaro presents two innovative gateways for wireless M-Bus communication: The Solar Wireless M-Bus Gateway for indoor or outdoor use collects consumption data from up to 500 commercially available water meters, heat meters or heat cost allocators. The battery-free solution is also suitable for intra-year consumption data collection (uVI) according to the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and for smart city applications. The battery-powered Wireless M-Bus Bridge V3 Gateway receives consumption data from up to 500 wireless M-Bus-enabled devices - such as water, electricity and heat meters - stores them temporarily and forwards them via the internet. The gateway uses either NB-IoT, LTE-M1 or LoRaWAN technology.
Watteco: Digital sensor and SmartPlug
Watteco enriches the exhibits with the IN'O digital sensor. The device is designed for remote monitoring of industrial equipment such as heaters, pumps, fans, valves, coolers, motors, generators, lights or even for doors. The Watteco SmartPlug – type F is an intelligent LoRaWAN product with an internal antenna that monitors and controls connected devices. In doing so, it sends reports about the quality of the power line and also measures power consumption. Electrical devices can be controlled with the SmartPlug via the LoRaWAN network so that they are either supplied with power or not.
Tektelic: LoRaWAN sensors and gateways
Tektelic, is a leading provider of LoRaWAN IoT gateways, end-to-end solutions, sensors and applications. Tektelic will show two LoRaWAN sensors: the Agriculture Sensor Surface Mount with soil moisture, temperature and light sensors for outdoor data collection and the LoRaWAN-Sensor Breeze CO2 for indoor Co2 measurement. The measured value of the Breeze Co2 sensor is barometrically corrected. This means that correct values are recorded and transmitted even at high altitudes.
Technical lecture: "From the field - energy management in the digitalised building".
Jan Bose, Managing Director of Alpha-Omega Technology, reports on how energy management works in a digitalised building. The lecture will take place as part of the thematic block „How to LoRaWAN: Energieeffizienz durch smarte Sensorik“ on 24 May, 4.30 p.m., Hall 1.
