Security of supply, nuclear phase-out and decarbonization are currently the defining issues in the energy industry. The important role played by digital solutions and energy carriers such as hydrogen will be demonstrated by around 800 exhibitors - including market leaders, niche players and start-ups - from 27 countries at Europe's leading trade fair for the energy industry, E-world energy & water, from May 23 to 25, 2023. Decision-makers from business, politics and research will exchange views on a successful energy turnaround at Messe Essen and thus send important impulses to the industry.
"The topic of energy is more current than ever. Therefore, we are pleased to offer the energy industry a sought-after platform for forward-looking innovations and an intensive dialogue with E-world," says Stefanie Hamm, Managing Director of E-world GmbH. From international market leaders to regional industry giants and niche players to start-ups, numerous companies, institutions and research facilities will be represented in Halls 1 to 5 of Messe Essen. Their portfolios range from the intelligent control of power grids and the diversification of energy generation to storage and e-mobility to various energy sources and the heat transition.
The approximately 150 companies in the Smart Energy theme area will present networked, renewable and efficient products, solutions and technologies. Where the future of the energy industry could be heading is shown by more than 80 start-ups and research institutions in the Innovation exhibition area.
Energy carrier hydrogen particularly in focus at E-world 2023
This year, Europe's leading trade fair for the energy industry will focus on one energy carrier in particular, reveals Sabina Großkreuz, also Managing Director of E-world GmbH: "Hydrogen plays a central role in the energy turnaround, and there is great potential here among many companies. Due to the strong response, we have therefore implemented a separate hydrogen exhibition area for the first time this year under the name 'Hydrogen Solutions' in exhibition hall 2." Among others, E.ON Hydrogen, EWE Gasspeicher, Hitachi Energy, Hyundai Motor Deutschland, Iqony, TÜV Rheinland and Zukunft Gas will be present. Hydrogen will also receive more attention in the redesigned forum program.
Intensive forum and conference program on all days of the fair
Trade visitors to E-world will receive special added value from the extensive lecture program. The program starts on the day before the trade fair with the Energy Leadership Meeting for decision-makers in the industry. On all three days of the trade fair, the New Energy Systems Forum in Hall 1, the Hydrogen Solutions Forum in Hall 2, the Future Forum in Hall 4 and the Change Forum in Hall 5 offer valuable input - and are freely accessible at all times.
On the second day of the trade fair, the Fiber Optics Forum will provide information on the intelligent dovetailing of self-supported and subsidized expansion. At the same time, the Day of the Consulates will take place and provide international representatives with an overview of the current situation in the energy industry. On the last day of the fair, the Career Forum will bring job seekers of all career levels together with companies in the energy sector.
