Essen, January 25, 2023
Its extensive program of events is an essential pillar for the success of Europe's leading trade fair for the energy industry. This year, E-world energy & water is expanding this area even further. For the first time, there will be four specialist forums, each of which will focus on different focal points of the industry. The dates and content of the two conferences "Energy Leadership Meeting " and "Fiber Optic Forum" have already been fixed.
The E-world forum program is unique. In order to offer trade visitors the greatest possible added value, the lectures and discussions are freely accessible and take place directly in the exhibition halls. This year, the focus is on trading, infrastructure and energy services. For the first time, there will be four forums on all days of the fair:
- The New Energy Systems Forum (Hall 1) focuses on the expansion and integration of renewable energies in Germany and Europe as well as the energy market of the future.
- The Hydrogen Solutions Forum (Hall 2) will present projects as well as political and regulatory decisions on the subject of hydrogen.
- The Future Forum (Hall 4) addresses requirements and possible challenges for the future energy industry
- The Change Forum (Hall 5) will focus on the effects of changes in the energy industry on energy supply companies and end consumers. In addition, the Career Forum will take place there on the third day of the trade fair.
Leadership meeting and fiber optic forum set
A popular meeting place for decision-makers in the industry is the Energy Leadership Meeting. The event traditionally takes place on the day before the trade fair. On May 22, the motto is "Perspectives for the energy world of tomorrow. Focus topics include "Energy crisis and now? What winter teaches the German government" and "Energy transition - how decarbonization can still succeed". The leadership meeting will be moderated by Michael Bauchmüller from the parliamentary editorial department of Süddeutsche Zeitung and organized in cooperation with Süddeutsche Verlag Veranstaltungen.
The Fiber Optic Forum on May 24 will provide information on the intelligent dovetailing of self-supported and subsidized fiber optic expansion. For this to succeed, there needs to be trusting cooperation between network operators, public administration and politics. The acceleration of approval processes, clear definitions of expansion targets, targeted use of subsidies and the establishment of strategic partnerships will be important success factors for nationwide fiber optic expansion in Germany. Municipal utilities often find themselves caught between the interests of network operators, administration and politics and are looking for their role in the fiber market. The Fiber Optic Forum 2023 would like to give the various players a stage to develop joint approaches to solutions. Program partners are the Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. (BREKO), Micus Strategieberatung and Conenergy.
