E-world energy & water 2019 Shows Solutions for Sustainable Cities

Ideas for more efficient cities - With this orientation, E-world energy & water 2019 will take account of the increasing urbanisation. For this purpose, the focus on the "Smart City" will be extended by the subject field of "Climate Solutions". The objective will be to introduce new concepts for the challenges caused by increasing settlement densification and the climate change. Thus, Europe's leading fair in the energy industry will once more highlight its key position as the leading event from which important stimuli for the sector originate. At Messe Essen from February 5 to 7, 2019, companies, institutions and start-ups will show their solutions to all aspects of the energy supply of the future. The spectrum will extend from generation via transport and storage right up to trading, efficiency and green technologies.

Cities are not only perpetrators and victims of the climate change but also play a pioneering role in the development of innovative measures for climate protection. To an increasing extent, digitalisation is resulting in a smart and resource-conserving overall system consisting of electricity and heat, efficient buildings and electric transport. With the interlinking of the subject fields of "Smart City" and "Climate Solutions", E-world energy & water 2019 will concentrate on this vision of the future. Networked ranges on offer will be important for the energy supply of the future. In the subject area of "Smart Energy" (the largest platform of this kind anywhere in Germany), numerous exhibitors will present themselves with the main focal points of renewable energies and smart technologies.

Growth Course Continues

Already in 2018, the leading fair in the international energy industry was able to set new peak values with 750 exhibitors from 26 nations and more than 25,000 visitors from 73 countries. The growth course will continue in 2019. The freshly modernised halls at Messe Essen will permit even more efficient, more appealing area allocation planning. The strong demand for additional booth places can be portrayed in this way. In 2019, E-world energy & water will spread across Fair Halls 1 to 5 and the Galeria flooded with light. Many renowned major players in the sector have already booked their booths and more than 85 percent of the areas have already been allocated. The participating companies will include, amongst others, innogy, E.ON, Vattenfall, SAP, Uniper, Siemens, Shell and Iberdrola.

Specialist Conferences and Guided Tours

Accompanying the happenings at the fair, expert lectures and podium discussions will take place every day in four specialist forums at the fair as well as in the Congress Center Essen. For the public at the fair (around 99 percent of whom will be made up of trade visitors), there will also again be guided tours of the fair offered by con|energy as the organiser of E-world energy & water.
