Under the heading "North Rhine-Westphalia goes Energy 4.0" the EnergyAgency.NRW with the clusters EnergyRegion.NRW and EnergyResearch.NRW will hold its 22nd Expert Conference on Future Energies on 6 February 2018, the opening day of “E-world energy & water”. This well established event will be opened by NRW’s Economic Affairs Minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart and NRW’s Environment Minister Christina Schulze Föcking. Subsequently prominent representatives of this industry will answer these questions: How smart is today’s energy world? What is the significance of the digital transformation for the energy industry? How do consumers perceive the digital transformation? After the morning plenary session there will be three interactive and parallel forums during the afternoon. The focus will be on startups and new business models, a revised sector linking and the digital energy system of the future. For the 18th time the leading European trade fair of the energy and water resources sector will take place at Messe Essen exhibition centre together with the accompanying conference. Firmly established companies will be presenting their portfolios as will startups from this specialist domain. The North Rhine-Westphalian Economic Affairs Ministry will also be there, exhibiting from February 6th until 8th, in Hall 3 on Stand 370 with the EnergyAgency.NRW and its clusters EnergyRegion.NRW and EnergyResearch.NRW. Furthermore 20 companies and research institutions will be presenting key technologies for the energy system of the future.
