Fincons Group demos its leading meter-to-cash solution for utilities dealing in the sale and distribution of power, water, gas and other green tech value-added services

Specifically designed on a new paradigm, offering a new vision for metering, billing and credit management, youtiverse was developed side-by-side major utility players, on the basis of a thorough understanding of their requirements and processes. Initially developed to suit the complex needs of an ESCO provider, the solution has since been tailored to meet the needs of utilities that deal with the sale and distribution of power, water, gas and other green tech value-added services, for managing B2B, B2C and prosumer clients.
By replacing coding with configuration, the solution, puts business users at the heart of the process, enabling them to create rule autonomously and flexibly, with limited IT support. This entirely new user-oriented approach offers better UX and fast adaptability to meet new regulatory requirements or respond to new business needs. By providing the business with more flexibility and introducing AI-based automation to deal with tasks more efficiently OPEX and CAPEX are significantly reduced.
Since its initial ESCO deployment, youtiverse was developed for Italgas, an international gas leader to manage the billing processes to over 8 million gas distribution customers for the provider. The solution has then gone from strength to strength. Later, it was extended to also manage metering, billing and credit for water delivered to over 40,000 customers by Italgas. The solution is now in high demand with another key Italian power, gas and green tech provider for B2B and B2C market and a leading energy sector player in the UK, active on the energy market for over 20 years which relies on youtiverse to manage the billing of complex contracts in the B2B market.
The solution supports metering processes by managing measurement starting form input reading right up to the processing of measurement information, making it available to the billing module and third-party systems. It covers acquisition, validation and rejections as well as pre-billing processes such as consumption calculations, aggregations and estimates. The billing module allows users to independently configure calculation algorithms based on national regulations and clients needs and enables invoice creation. The Calculation Log function provides transparency over micro calculation and intermediate results. Finally, the credit module allows for management of credit from the moment an invoice is issued to when it is collected, dealing with credit field, dunning procedures, the definition of instalment plans and the calculation of interests, deposits and arrears.
