E-world 2024: focus on the energy transition and heat supply of tomorrow

As Europe's leading energy trade fair, E-world energy & water not only brings together international companies from the industry in Essen every year, but also provides new impetus with its extensive supporting program. On all days of the trade fair: four specialist forums directly in the exhibition halls

On all three days of E-world 2024, an extensive and international stage program with discussion panels, presentations and podcast recordings will take place on four stages. The open specialist forums "Change" (Hall 4), "Future" (Hall 5), "Hydrogen Solutions" (Hall 5) and "New Energy Systems" (Hall 1) are located directly in the exhibition area. Access to the forums is free of charge at any time with a trade fair ticket and without registration. Topics include the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy, the decarbonization of industry, municipal heat planning and international best practices, for example from Sweden, Iceland and the UK.

Top-class speakers from business and politics

On the day before the trade fair (Monday, February 19, 2024), decision-makers from the industry will discuss the "Perspectives for the energy world of tomorrow" at the Energy Leadership Meeting. Speakers will include Stefan Wenzel, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Oliver Krischer, Minister for the Environment, Nature Protection and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Barbie Kornelia Haller, Vice President of the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency).

On the first day of the trade fair (Tuesday, February 20, 2024) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the speakers at the fiber optic forum will show how "Successful fiber optic expansion under changed conditions" can be achieved. The content partners are once again the German Broadband Association (BREKO), MICUS Strategieberatung and the co-organizer of E-world, con|energy.

The Day of the Consulates will be international. Ambassadors, consuls general, consuls, employees of business development agencies, chambers of foreign trade and SMEs will use the second day of the trade fair to make important contacts with companies at Europe's leading trade fair for the energy industry and also to exchange ideas with each other. Over 35 nations are registered, including the United States of America, China, Brazil and Great Britain.

Counteracting the shortage of skilled workers by recruiting young talent

E-world brings junior staff and young professionals together with companies from the energy sector on Career Day. The event on the third day of the trade fair is an innovative instrument for recruiting young talent. As part of the stage program, interactive challenges and personal discussions, employers have the opportunity to convince potential new employees and win them over. The Career Day offers young professionals guidance in choosing a career, demonstrates the attractiveness and diversity of the energy industry and opens up concrete entry opportunities and career options. Students and school pupils receive free admission to E-world on the third day of the trade fair.
