Top-class speakers from the business and political sectors

On the day before the trade fair (Monday, February 19, 2024), the Energy Leadership Summit, titled 'Perspectives for the Energy World of Tomorrow,' will take place. The focus will include not only the current status and the next steps of the energy transition in Germany and Europe but also the future heat supply in the context of the German Buildings Energy Act, the mobility transition, Germany's competitiveness regarding electricity prices, and the digitization of the network infrastructure. Speakers at the summit will include Stefan Wenzel, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Oliver Krischer, Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as Klaus Müller, President of the Bundesnetzagentur.

On the first day of the trade fair (Tuesday, February 20, 2024), the Fiber Optics Forum will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The content partners for this forum are once again the German Broadband Association (Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. / BREKO), MICUS Strategieberatung, and the co-organizer of E-world, con|energy. 'The Fiber Optics Forum is going into its sixth edition in 2024 and has established itself as a permanent fixture in the fiber optics industry. Exciting presentations and a top-class panel will focus particularly on innovative expansion models and sustainability in deployment. We look forward to the industry coming together in February in Essen,' says Andreas Mescheder, Managing Director of MICUS Strategieberatung. Dr. Stephan Albers, Managing Director of BREKO, adds, 'The Fiber Optics Forum North Rhine-Westfalia provides a platform for network operators to present their innovative approaches in fiber optics expansion and discuss them with politics and administration. Thus, the Fiber Optics Forum strengthens diversity in the broadband market and promotes the digital transformation of our country. '

For both conferences, a ticket is required. Trade fair and conference tickets can be purchased at the official E-world Ticket Shop at ticketshop.e-world-essen.com.

Digital Kick-off sets the direction for the trade fair program

The digital kick-off event for Europe's leading trade fair for the energy industry, provided from November 7 to 9, 2023 a preview of the trade fair. Over three days, organizers welcomed speakers from politics, science, and business who discussed the thematic focuses of E-world. In addition to the role of the state in energy supply, topics such as 'Municipal Heat Planning' were addressed, and the potential oversupply of gas in Europe was discussed. Recordings of the three E-world Kick-off events are now freely accessible in the Community.

These topics, along with many others, will be further explored and discussed from February 20 to 22, 2024, at Messe Essen when E-world once again provides the industry with its established networking platform.
