Connectpoint GmbH strengthens openKONSEQUENZ consortium from 1 February 2024

Connectpoint becomes a member of the openKONSEQUENZ consortium, an alliance of grid operators, software manufacturers and service providers whose aim is to develop open and modular software for the operation of energy grids and water mains.

Connectpoint GmbH and openKONSEQUENZ (www.openkonsequenz.de) have joined forces with the aim of optimising the software landscape for energy and water grid operators and effectively meeting the challenges of the future. The low-voltage cockpit from openKONSEQUENZ aims to bring transparency to low-voltage grids by collecting, analysing, and visualising all available measured data from various measuring systems. This enables the detection of bottlenecks in the low-voltage grid and - in line with the regulatory requirements of Section 14a EnWG – to prepare distribution grids for the energy transition.

The conversion of low-voltage grids into smart grids requires significant functional expansions and a standardized data exchange with increasing data volumes. Connectpoint GmbH has extensive expertise in this area. Thanks to its experience with the nexo Low Voltage solution, the company is familiar with the challenges and can draw on extensive expert knowledge in development.

The low-voltage cockpit is being developed as a modular system that can be flexibly adapted to future requirements. As open-source software, it ensures integration with existing systems, high quality, scalability, and professional maintenance.
