E-world puts young talents in the spotlight at the Career Day

Qualified specialists are crucial for the successful implementation of the energy and heating transition. But how do companies in the sector and young talent come together? The best place is at E-world! With the Career Day on February 22, the leading trade fair for the energy industry is once again offering a platform where young professionals, students and pupils can network with exhibiting companies and institutions. Politicians are also supporting this event. State Secretary Matthias Heidmeier from the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia will discuss the topic "Hands-on Professions in the Energy Industry: How to Inspire Young Talents for the Energy Transition?" together with representatives from industry.

The panel discussion will take place at 10 a.m. at the Future Forum in Hall 5. It will be moderated by a young talent: Maximilian Wirth is a Master's student of industrial engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He will also be talking to Claus Urbanke, Vice President Wind, Solar & Storage Development at Statkraft; Christian Schweizer, Managing Director of Prototype.Club and Leon Trippel, Initiator & Co-Leader #OHKW - Ohne Hände keine Wende.

Over 500 young professionals are expected

More than 500 students from a wide range of disciplines have registered for the Career Day, which is free of charge for them. Apart from the panel discussion, they can look forward to a diverse and informative program. Value-added presentations will take place in the four forums directly in the exhibition halls. Among other things, students will talk to the CEOs of major companies in the "CEO meets Student" format. For example, Daniel Mendes Jenner from Leuphana University Lüneburg and Elias Sailer from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology will discuss the acceptance of the energy transition with Stefan-Jörg Göbel, Managing Director of Statkraft Germany GmbH.

In addition, participants will be able to demonstrate their skills for typical jobs in various professional fields in the energy industry in interactive challenges. Over 40 companies are taking part in the Career Day. They will have representatives on-site available to engage in conversations with the attending young professionals. This presents a valuable opportunity for the young professionals of tomorrow to establish connections today and pave the way for their professional future.
